Welcome to the 2023 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships - Day 1

By: Laura Rice  December 05, 2023

We had an exciting first day of racing with our non-championship riders. Two waves of riders took to the new and exciting course in Joe Creason Park. Wednesday will be our first championships to take to the course, and below are some important updates for racers.

Important Info for Wednesday, December 6th

  • There will be several small course changes for tomorrow's racing. Please make sure you pre-ride your designated course before you race.

  • The gate by the Tennis Center will close at 5:15 pm on Wednesday. If you are in the venue after that, please use the Team Parking exit located north of the Tennis Center to leave the venue.

  • In addition, Stars and Stripes jerseys cannot be worn in competition at this event.

Competitors will pick up their wristband and any additional wristbands they purchased at rider registration/packet pickup. Spectators may pick up their pre-purchased wristbands at the below locations.

Awards / Podium

Awards Tuesday-Saturday will be at the end of the day following the conclusion of the last race. Please check the competition schedule for times.

Sunday's award ceremony will be per the event schedule.

Team Space

For those with team space, they may park their vehicle in the team tent area ONLY if it fits in their footprint, however getting in and out is limited during the day due to congestion so it's recommended to park at the zoo if they want to come and go.

Limited team tent spaces are still available from the Louisville Sports Commission. For more information please email dpatrone@louisvillesports.org.

Numbers must be displayed on the coach/parent at all times.

Course pre-rides are only allowed during open course times found on the event schedule. The course is not open in between races so there will be no allowed pre-riding in between any scheduled racing. Please note the course you are racing will be color-coordinated to the color of the bib you are wearing. You may only practice at the determined times for your course.

Pit passes are required for all junior and all UCI races and are limited to 2 per rider. They can be collected at registration.
